As the President of TeenSaver Diagnostics Inc., Steve Stahovich shares the message of sobriety with people every day. To Steve, sobriety isn't a program or a product; it’s a new way of life. Steve knows about the pitfalls of drug abuse. He as helped thousands of people find a new life in sobriety since overcoming his own addictions. Steve battled drug use for years. In 1993, he ecognized that he needed a drug-free path in life. "I realized there was a solution for the biggest secret in my life. I knew at that point, the worst thing that had ever happened to me, was the best thing that ever happened to me."
Steve embraced sobriety, and began working in treatment and rehabilitation centers in Southern California. He helped treat others who were battling the same substance abuse problems that he once battled. In 1994, he became the Director of Operations at Sober Living by the Sea. Steve assessed users, counseled families, and helped people overcome their addictions.
After a successful tenure at Sober Living, he opened up and established the Domus Retreat, a rapid detoxification after-care facility with the Waismann Institute. He specialized in saving people from the downward spiral of opiate use. There, he noticed a familiar theme. He saw a growing number of teens and young adults were starting to use at younger ages. Steve believed that this represented a serious breakdown in drug education and awareness among families.
Steve decided it was time for a new challenge. He began working on an over the counter drug test. He joined Independent Drug Testing Supply and helped educate businesses on employee testing. After years of success manufacturing drug test kits for hospitals, jails, and corporations, Steve turned his focus to developing a tool for families to use. He realized there was a need for a family branded home drug test that goes beyond the science of a positive and negative result. He wanted to perfect a total program. His mission with TeenSaver Diagnostics Inc. is to bring families together in a drug-free environment. "I'd like to help bring a solution to a family, by educating them, before there is a crisis." |
